- Dr. K.Balaveera Reddy, Vice-chancellor of VTU, Belgaum, who
was one of the guests in the Campus Connect Conclave, an Infosys
initiative, held on May 6, 2004 in Infosys Leadership Institute,
Mysore, spoke on “VTU – Vision 2020 and Some Thoughts”.
The Vice-chancellor explored the possibility of bringing this
novel initiative to the VTU-EDUSAT network and makes it reach
the engineering students of all the colleges in Karnataka. He
had one to one discussion with Mr.Mohan Pai, CFO, Infosys.
- The Special Officer, e-Learning Centre, VTU, Dr. G.L.Shekar,
gave a presentation on “EDUSAT-based education: Karnataka’s
experience” at the ICT Conference organized by the British
Council at New Delhi on February 15, 2005. The British High
Commission had extended the invitation.
- Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. K.Balaveera Reddy, chaired
a session at the National Seminar on Engineering Education conducted
by the Centre for Continuing Education, Indian Institute of
Science, Bangalore, on February 26, 2005. VTU presented two
papers on distance education and e-campus in this seminar
